I grew up in a small town in Cape Breton, on the East Coast of Canada. Humble beginnings. Tiny white house. In school, many didn’t think I’d amount to anything. And they told me this. Socially, I didn’t fit in. I just saw the world differently. And liked my own company. . A grade 5 teacher Cora Greenaway saw talent in me. She polished it and inspired me to believe in me. She died a few weeks ago but I recently learned, when she was younger she’d save children from the Nazis on behalf of The Dutch Resistance. . I kept on dreaming. And believing. And outworking everyone around me. And reading–constantly. Going to seminars and conferences to learn how the best think and how the legends live. Then, each day, I’d integrate and practice the learning. Went to law school. Practiced law for 5 years then self-published a book. Stood on top of the escalator with that book’s cover around my neck to attract attention–and hopefully an agent. People snickered. Others asked me to leave. I was relentless. Step by step. Rejection after failure. Advancing a mission. Driven from my heart. 22 years later.
